Founded in 1953 in Cape Town CPOA (Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged) has over the years grown from strength to strength. Today the company owns more than 25 retirement facilities which cover the entire spectrum of services from independent living to full frail care in dedicated Care Centres. Units are generally sold on a Life Right basis, which safeguards the initial capital outlay without additional transfer costs and provides for long term peace of mind and security.

CPOA is a non-profit organisation and has a strong Welfare Commitment. The company is overseen by the Board of Governors (BoG) and their elected Council of Volunteers.
