The 2nd Dementia SA South African Conference – 25 and 26 October 2011

The second Dementia SA South African conference was hosted at the Pavilion conference Centre at the V&A Waterfront on 25 and 26 October 2011. The conference was well attended by various role players and featured some of the prominent academics and health care professionals in the industry, local and international.

Part of the conference was an area, specifically allocated, for exhibitor stands where a variety of service providers had the opportunity to meet and converse with conference attendees while at the same time showcasing various products, services, technology and retirement developments. CPOA occupied Stand number 7 and exhibited their current three new developments namely Kronendal Retirement village in Houtbay, Riverside Gardens and Fernbridge both situated in Dieprivier.

“This is a first for CPOA and it is important that the market, in general, and industry stakeholders, in the greater retirement industry, are made aware of the exciting changes that are taking place at CPOA and what we have to offer” said exhibitor, Ivan Oosthuizen who heads up the Sales and Marketing portfolio of the group. Attendees showed great interest in the developments and had the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.

CPOA will become a more prominent figure in future conferences, exhibitions, expos and other forms of brand and marketing activities. “I believe people should be made aware that the CPOA can be of great service and assistance to all retirees, whether they have been retired for a few years or whether they are planning to go into retirement, CPOA offers all the services required and has proven itself over the past 58 years” according to Oosthuizen.

The conference and exhibition has added value to CPOA’s profile and will surely become an annual event on the CPOA calendar. For any further inquiries relating to any of the development showcased, contact CPOA’s In-take Officer, Mrs Elicia Smithen on (021) 686-7830.
